Whose Declaration?

Whose independence?

Not woman.

Not slave.

Nor landless persons.

And not the Indians

Called Savages

Called Murderers

Called Merciless.

So it was in the beginning,

Guns and money and

Money and guns.

Who really scalped– 

Scalped  whose head first?

There’s many ways

To skin a cat,

but they all lead to extinction.

Are you ready for that?

Reflection: I think about our constitution almost everyday. I think about the people who have gotten in power.  I think of the lack of integrity, loyalty and generosity in business and what has really trickled down to us.
